The Syro-Malabar Catholic Mission of Staten Island was established to preserve the faith, liturgy, cultural, and social traditions of the Malayalee Catholics living on Staten Island, New York. The Mission, part of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago, was officially established in May 2002.
